The RCM is a rolling/cutting machine that cuts wrappers and binders out of tobacco leafs and winds them into a bobbin. The tobacco-leaf is manually placed on a cutting-die by an operator, after which the machine performs the cutting, transfer depositing and rolling. Depending on the die-shape, tobacco quality and the operator’s skills, the production speed is between 12 and 24 cuts per minute. The tobacco is cut twice in every cutting cycle. The number of cuts for every bobbin and the number of cuts per day / operator is controlled by separate counting devices.

The winding-tension is maintained at a constant level with an adjustable counterweight. The RCM is a simple, almost fully mechanical machine that can easily be adapted to another size by exchanging the die, leaf-carrier and vacuum plate. The machine stands out in low cost of ownership, reliability and robustness.

Options

  • Bobbin alignment system
The bobbin alignment system controls the empty bobbin unwinding by use of an edge-alignment photocell. As soon as the material is outside the preselected range a signal will be given to a linear motor that will correct the misalignment immediately.
  • Lightscreen according latest CE standards
  • 3rd cutting roller
For cutting a special leaf design, a 3rd cutting roller can be installed on the cutting arm.
  • Servo controlled tobacco leaf positioning
Standard the machine is equipped with a pulls counter on the bobbin transport motor which has an accuracy of approximately 0.5 mm. If required the machine can be equipped with  a servo motor so that a accuracy of 0.2 mm can be reached.

Although there is much more to tell about the performance of this machine, we prefer to do so in person. Please leave your details via the contact page or call us and we will contact you as soon as we can. You can also send us your question directly by clicking the button below.
